Rosie's Year In India!

Namaste!

My name is Rosie, I am 17 years old and am currently in my sixth year at Bell Baxter High School.

Following a 4 day selection course on the Isle of Coll I was chosen to be part of an ongoing programme run by Project Trust teaching in southern India.

From August 2014 I will spend a year working in a project for under-privileged children, most probably based in Andhra Pradesh or Tamil Nadu, teaching primary and or secondary school children in a variety of subjects based on my high school studies as well as organising and running extra curricular activities.

Project Trust has been sending volunteers aged 17 to 19 abroad for over 40 years and have strong links and commitments to the communities they work in.

They rely on volunteers to fundraise to meet the costs of their placement so I am currently working on ways to raise the huge sum of £5,600!

I will use this page to update you on my progress and on any up-and-coming fundraising events I will be organising.
